The Winter Dance Intensive is a fun filled dance intensive full of ballet, contemporary, and other dance styles taught by guest teachers and MJL faculty. This is a great way to kick off your 2026 dance competition season!
The Winter Intensive will be held Saturday, December 27 to Monday, December 29 at MJL Center for Dance Studio conveniently located within a 5 minute from walk from Itasca Metra station and directly off the highway.
Students receive a detailed teaching approach with personally tailored corrections, one on one attention and building correct muscle memory within a positive environment.
Students will have classes in Ballroom, Contemporary, Ballet, Jumps & Turns,
Pointe & Pre-Pointe, Stretch & Conditioning.
Students also have option and rare opportunity to receive valuable feedback on their competition solos and/or classical variations with MJL Director Megan Levine.
Ballet, Pointe/Pre-Pointe: Any colored leotard, pink convertible ballet tights, canvas split sole ballet shoes, hair in a clean classical bun with no flyaway. Skirts may be worn for Pointe.
All other dance styles: Ballet attire, sports bras, shorts, tank tops, leggings, etc. Please bring black socks with and dance shoes
Gentlemen: White or black shirt, black tights, white or black ballet shoes, dance belt.
PLEASE NOTE:
ALL DANCERS must be fully dressed in a shirt and sweats or shorts upon entering and leaving the studio. Wearing your dance attire in or out of the studio is not permitted (except underneath the aforementioned clothing). Thank you!
The Junior Level is geared towards Beginner to Intermediate students.

This takes place at the end of the day Monday, December 29
2:15-3:30 PM.
The Upper Level is geared towards Intermediate, Advanced and Pre-professional students.
Students also have option and rare opportunity to receive valuable feedback on their competition solos and/or classical variations with MJL Director Megan Levine.
